THE ACCRINGTON PALS

By Peter Whelan

Playhouse2’s tribute to mark 90 years since the end of WW1. Set in the town of Accrington during 1914-16, this lyrical play charts the men from the local volunteer battalion as they march off to the Great War with their experiences in the trenches contrasted with those of the women they leave behind. Funny and sad, the play paints a powerful and moving picture of life during wartime.

Director Charles Foster.
