THE HELEN BADEN QUINTET

London dwelling,  Shaw born Jazz singer Helen Baden brings her quintet of top drawer musicians to Playhouse2, Shaw on Friday 23 May.  Reminiscent of singers Jo Stafford, Helen Forrest, with a little Ella and Karen Carpenter thrown in.

Adrian Fry – trombone; one of the country’s finest arrangers (Acker Bilk, Ray Gelato, Karen Sharp Quintet)
Cliff Hall - piano (ex Manfred Mann and Cliff & The Shadows)

John Perry-drums. One of the countries finest and most experienced jazz drummers.  He’s performed and recorded with the likes of Kenny Wheeler, Anita Wardel, Bobby Wellins, Andy Shephard, Scott Hamilton, Clare Teal etc. At 8.00pm.
